A privacy note, in plain English
Effective 27 July 2026
Lifewoven hasn’t launched yet. Right now, the only thing you can give us is your email address, so this note is short. We’d rather be honest than impressive.
1. What we collect today#
Who is responsible for this. Lifewoven is the controller of the data described in this note. Write to hello@lifewoven.app about anything on this page, including a request to see or delete what we hold.
If you join the founding circle, we keep your email address. We use it for one thing: writing to you about Lifewoven. We don’t sell it, share it, or add you to anything else. Waitlist submissions are handled by Formspree, the form service we use to receive them.
2. What Lifewoven will do with your data when it launches#
Lifewoven works by reading your email, calendar, and contacts — with your permission, through your Google sign-in — and compiling them into a private knowledge base that only you can see. That knowledge base exists for you alone. It is not training data. It is not shared with other users. It is not a product we sell to anyone else; you are not the product, you are the customer.
We’ll publish a complete privacy policy before the app opens in September 2026, and we’ll write it like this note — in sentences a person can read.
3. Who else touches your data#
Your data is stored and backed up in the European Union. Some of the companies below are established outside it, so each row states what makes that transfer lawful — which is what Article 13 of the GDPR requires us to tell you.
| Who | What they receive | Established | Transfer basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | Calendar, contacts and mail, read-only, and the Gemini model that reads them. If you switch on answers that use the web, Lifewoven sends Google one more thing: a single question, rewritten to remove your names, dates and anything private. Lifewoven never sends your pages or your own words. | United States | EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Hetzner Online GmbH | Physical custody of the encrypted volume and the encrypted backups. No account that reads your data. | European Union | None needed — the data does not leave the EU |
| Resend, Inc. | Your email address and one fixed message, once: when you delete your account and we confirm it. | United States | EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Visits to this website. Nothing in the app, and nothing in your weave. | United States | EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Telegram | One status line a day, to us: job counts, job names, error names, and a truncated account identifier. Never anything you wrote. | Outside the EU | None established. Disclosed in Security §10 |
| Your device’s push serviceApple, Google or Mozilla | Only if you turn reminders on: the notification, encrypted so the service cannot read it, and its delivery time. | Varies by device | EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the operator is US-established |
There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising network and no error-reporting service anywhere in Lifewoven. Not disabled — absent.
4. Lifewoven and your Google account#
Lifewoven reads three things from your Google account and only reads them: your calendar, your contacts, and your mail.
It cannot send, reply, label, delete or change anything, because it never asks Google for permission to.
The permission you give covers your whole mailbox, and Lifewoven reads only as far back as you let it.
Nothing Lifewoven reads from your Google account is used to train, develop or improve any artificial-intelligence model beyond your own weave.
There is no model built from your life, and no store of it anywhere but your own pages.
What Lifewoven reads from Google is never sold, never shown to an advertiser or a data broker, and never used to decide anything about you.
Lifewoven's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Deletion#
Your data is yours. If you ask us to delete your email from the waitlist, we will. When the app exists, deleting your account will delete your knowledge base with it.
6. Questions#
Write to us and a founder will answer.
